currently missing: summer. goodbye christmas, hello winter blues! this is an annual recurrent + unfortunate theme in my life. so, currently, i am dreaming of dipping my toes in the sand and soaking in the sun somewhere warm. how many months left until summer?

currently craving: a mt. vesuvius sundae from franklin fountain. here’s the mouth watering particulars as listed on the menu: ‘a mountain of chocolate ice cream erupting with chocolate brownie pieces, cascading with hot fudge and blanketed in malt powder’. i think you now understand why said craving.

currently wearing: red wedges + a growing belly. it’s easy to lose your sense of style when your body is changing to accomodate a new bambino, but i am choosing to dig my proverbial heels in + hang tight to fashion as long as i can. this means pumps for as long as my friend gravity allows.

currently loving: my husband. seriously, the guy has been a complete saint during my physical + hormonal ups and downs. he’s been making late night runs to the store to get me crackers + orangina when i refuse to think or look at any other food. he reminds me that crying during a commercial will only hurt me more the next day when i wake up with a throbbing headache + has not once complained about the fact that i have officially hung up my chef hat + not touched a cooking utensil for 5 months. significant others of pregnant women out there in the universe, i salute you!

currently jamming to: animal by miike snow.

and soon, said baby will be entering our consciousness. if there’s one thing i’ve learned by keeping tabs on this blog, it’s that babies will take center stage when they arrive…so for now i i’ll enjoy the shout out. through all the ups and downs and headaches, i’ve had the easy part – every food run is another chance for me to grab a pint of ice cream :)

dr. lopresto once got in a lot of trouble for bringing home a pint of ice cream. you should always think ahead and buy the gallon.

your brunette friend doesn’t like ice cream…the pints were always for me – although i would sometimes wish i had a gallon.
